HTC One weird Issue

I recently bought the HTC One and I really like it. However, this morning I woke up to realize that my battery did not charge at all over night. now, every time I plug it into the wall charger, the battery low notification pops up again and again on my phone. It pops up, then disappears before I can even press dismiss. Then it pops up again. This means I can't even charge my phone without it losing more battery with every notification. Has anyone else every had an issue with this? I am using the original charger and this is the first time I have had this issue. Please help!!

I was going to ask if it was the original charger. I think you need to exchange it.

Try other charger. If you don't have a spare one, try using another USB cable or connect your phone to a computer via USB port to see it charges.
