HTC One X+ Emails configuration

Hello !

I am using HTC?s native app for email where I have associated 2 accounts (Hotmail and Gmail) sending and receiving emails works fine, but the emails that I have received for some reason disappear from the phone after around 3 or 4 days. Is there a way/configuration to prevent that?. Also i would like to know how I could enable the option to erase emails form the server at the same time that I erase them form the phone.
