htc one x stopped charging

help
my htc one x no charge all of a sudden since yesterday. almost 24 hrs on the wall plug no show.
when i plug it to my mac it says :

As a USB device deducts too much power from your computer, one or more USB devices have been disabled.
To avoid damaging your computer, the USB device that consumes too much power has been disabled. There are may other devices disabled. If you disconnect the device that consumes too much power, that other USB devices are enabled again.
i?ve tried holding volume buttons and all that no show.

update:
i got mad with it and banged it on my knee several times not kidding
then for the heck of it i tried again holding power volume up and volume down again for 4 minutes because i was bored nothing happened.
then i put it back on the wall charger it was blinking red for 10 minutes.. now the charge light is on red...
i will keep u informed..

Because it was pissin me off And i had a mini temper tantrum
NEWSFLASH
phone died again
same issue as first time
had been reebooting itself every day at least 8-9 times
like unlock screen code boom reboot get stuck reboot again get stuck rebbot again work for a bit wipe itself reboot again now dead..
htc had me start it in safe mode no luck..
wth this is just frustating
tried plugging it into my mac the thing is now as useful as a stone i can throw out of the window... i feel another temper tantrum coming up...

NEWS update
so the stone finally decided to work again this morning after i had plugged it in all night to my mac. ( no charge light or anything btw.)
for the heck of it i pressed the power button for like 40secs then it turned on..
so i thought,
now its switching between the quietly brilliant screen and the htc one screen then off all the time..
oh wait now it finally decided to turn on put in pin code off again... went into bootloader to restart from there
lo behold it is wiped again start from scratch once again,
does any one know a good custom rom i can use and maybe baby step me through it a bit.. i am sick of this..
i def. think its a software issue..
( turned itself off again after announcing that google.com(bla) process had unfortunately stopped working then it crashed again
now it is stuck on the white htc quietly brilliant screen and wont to anything aaaarrrrgh
i would appreciate any help
