HTC One X won't charge and battery replacement hasn't worked

Hi all, please help!
My phone ran out of power and now won't restart. I have bought a new battery and fitted it, still doesn't work. Tried the 'hold down up and down volume and power buttons for two minutes' and that hasn't worked, no life at all.

Any other ideas please?!

Does the phone register that you plugged it into a charger? The fact that you put in a new battery and still get nothing, that is troubling. Batteries are usually shipped with a partial charge (batteries are never stored with a full charge).

Does the phone register that you plugged it into a charger? If not, then I suspect that the power module on your phone has gone bad. You might have to bring it in for service at a qualified repair shop.

Thanks for your reply. No, when plugged into the wall charger the phone doesn't register anything, no LED illumination, with old or new battery. Additionally, neither of the batteries get even slightly warm when on charge, which I thought was odd.

If it's the power module, is that something that can be fixed?

It could be fixable, whether or not the price is worth it is another question. But the only way to find out if it can be fixed and for how much is to contact a reputed repair service/shop.
