HTC Rezound unrooted stuck on HTC screen

Factory Rezound stuck on white HTC screen. Tried a number of times to do a hard reset but it will not reset. When I leave it charging it gets hot. I have tried to remove the battery and retry a number of times. It's not looping just stuck... I have let it charge, remove and replace the battery, let it charge in the bootloader then reboot. Still stuck on HTC screen. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I haven"t updated the phone recently. This did occur after the battery had completely died. Thanks...

Pull the back cover (and leave off), remove the Sim card, insert battery and attempt to boot

If that doesn't work take to verizon and get on the phone to customer care for a replacement

So stock phone? If not I would say kernel issues.

Try booting in to bootloader. Just pull the battery, put back in, and hold vol down while holding power. I would try running an ruu from here. That should fix most anything
