HTC Screen Separation Issue - Have you exchanged your phone?

They most likely will have some in stock, but they are reserved for other customers. The guy helping me turned out to the mobile manager and he gave me one of the reserved ones. He said that since I had already paid for mine, I had priority. Two thumbs up for Best Buy customer service. It was interesting, ever single person in BB mobile was rocking their own personal Evo too.

That is awesome. Just for grins, what is the build of the phone? My 0003 build has been performing much better than my 0002 build.

Mine is the newer build, but I haven't noticed much change in peformance at all. Though my first one was actually quite snappy and good on battery life anyway. So I guess it's good that performance didn't drop with the new device.

got a new one

thought i'd share my experience. i got my new one from "the shack" today and to put it simply, i'm very happy. i had the 002 before and had the screen coming up at the bottom. there was also major light leaking right on the seem at the bottom.

the new one i got is a 003 version and this one appears to be perfect. the screen looks like it is sealed perfectly all the way around... there is absolutely no light leaking from the bottom of the screen... and, not that this has anything to do with the screen problems, but it even has a new battery cover that fits better than the last one.

I read that some people were not liking the screen on the newer hardware revision, saying that it didn't look as bright and the colors weren't as saturated. i'm not really seeing that on my new one. i think that the old one might have been a LITTLE bit more bright but this one still looks great. the colors look fine to me.

Well, my screen separation continued to get worse, emailed HTC, and called them. They said they weren't doing repairs now on them and to return it. I called up Best Buy, they put me on the list. Went in and picked it up today. So far its ok. Haven't noticed anything yet. Had that weird bug with the vibrating not working on SMS when activated, but fixed that thanks to another thread in this forum.

Exchanged mine today. The light leakage is still there, but not as bad. The grounding issue seems to be better as well and no crackling voicemail. So I guess I'll just deal with the light, as I have a case covering it anyway.
