Is anybody else concerned enough about the T-Mobile/AT&T takeover to have considered leaving TMo? Is the Sensation (the desire for it)

enough to give you 2nd thoughts about leaving? I mean I know many folks stuck with At&T solely because the iPhone was there. Can the Sensation influence you to do the same here?

No one should care. Any action on the merger is at least a year away, and any changes are another year away (at least) after that. By the time you notice any differences, your contract will be up.

I second that Droid. People seem to think that this will be an overnight thing, when in reality, it will take years.

I do think that the acquisition will happen (in fact I hope it does) because DT wants to get out of the US market and if AT&T doesn't buy them, then it will probably be pieced off and sold.

I for one will renew my contract with T Mobile as many times as possible before the acquisition just so that I can be grandfathered into my plan for as long as possible.

I'm actually considering T-Mobile FROM AT&T, as my contract recently ended. I'm considering all three carriers at this point, and I think if I go TMo, the Sensation will be my phone.

It's all about service

I really wish that could be true. Some things will happen quite quickly after the conversion (and may in fact start before it is completed once it is clear that it will be approved). The AT&T execs will begin whispering in the ears of TMo execs about not doing this or that (probably related to discounting). And the most important of all is the one that distinguishes TMobile the most from other carriers (ESPECIALLY AT&T). Customer service! TMo CS has always been excellent, courteous and helpful. Surveys from various magazines and websites back up this experience. I have read and heard so many horror stories about customer service at the other carriers, especially Verizon and worst of all AT&T. Seems like the bigger you are the more aggressively offensive you feel like you can act toward your customer base. On day one AT&T will likely fire the folks at the TMo switchboard and switch us all to India (or wherever their customer service center is located).

I just dropped AT&T in FAVOR of T Mobile for the Sensation, and the better rates BEFORE AT&T gets a chance to screw it up.
