Come on now.. Running it to check it out is one thing but saying Sense UI is awesome when your running a NS4G (Pure Google....) Thats a little 2 sided....

Just my opinion... No UI will ever compare to running AOSP.

It might not be the case that everyone bought this to run vanilla Android. This phone was free for me and it was the best option if not my only option. HTC might have done some things better or improved on certain things, even if Sense does hurt performance more than AOSP. My previous phone was a DINC, and i've tried Sense 3.0/3.5. Good to have choice, especially if most of the custom roms for the phone are based on AOSP or CM. There may be people with the NS4G who would run this as a daily.

Yes I see your point... I just look at it if your choice regardless of paid or free to run a AOSP device then stick with it.. Want to run TouchWiz or Sense, there are plenty of those out there to go play with...

Its cool... To each their own... I want to try it just for the heck of it but I will never give up my AOSP experience, just for the fact of how badly a UI drags a device into the dirt on resources...

I have a NS4G and a photon ... while I think options are good, putting blur on the NS4G would be like opting to shoot yourself in the foot lol!

Still a cool POC I suppose.

Its not the ROM, I miss variety. Though the EVO is inferior, it had excellent support and a ton of ROMS. I used to maintain a list of ROMs for that device and the list hit 215! I doubt the NS4G hit even 15.

Anyway seeing sense would be cool to see on this phone. Im still surprised there is no touchwiz port (though I dont like it)

Update on the progress... I chatted with qbking77 earlier briefly and he said the project isn't done but its currently in a bit of a holding pattern due to ICS source being released and possibility of a ICS release for us very soon. But he didn't say the project was canceled so that is a plus...

Might be something down the road worth flashing back to from ICS to check out at a later date when finished....

I know ICS is releasing but coming from the the OG Evo and 3D to the Nexus I would love to see sense on this beautiful screen.

I think it will still happen, just the people working on it don't want to tie up their resources "development phones for testing" this and all the sudden ICS pops out then they are caught with their pants down sorta speak....

ICS binaries for the nexus aren't even out, what's there to work on, exactly?

Seems like more of a waste of time trying to put together hackish ICS ports when real source will be out soon. No?

Maybe I'm just reaching my boiling point here. Multiple devs have tried to work on a sense port for the nexus and all of them get pretty far and never release anything, I do not understand why.

If you don't have the time to fix it completely, release and another developer has the chance to finish it up... That's what android is about, community help. (With proper credit of course)

Hope this gets released soon, I would love to have the option to run sense. And if he releases his source code, we might even be able to make different flavors. Think: Myn's 2.3, Mik's, or even a potential 3.5 port once we get the base version working.
