I can't remember where I saw the benchmarks, but the Snapdragon that was benchmarked in the HTC shooter performed rather poorly compared the TI's OMAP and Nvidia Tegra 2.
Benchmark Shows HTC Pyramid?s Dual-Core Snapdragon Can?t Best Tegra 2 | Android Phone Fans
Above, perhaps?
I know nothing of this stuff, but the commentary in the article points out that this Snapdragon was in a preproduction version of the pyramid, and may not have been running software/firmware that was optimized for that Snapdragon chip. Or at least that's how I interpret what they say, this stuff isn't my expertise.
Hmm yea that's discouraging for sure. Guess we will see soon.
Don't worry about the said numbers from the review site. Someone very close with this project has already said that the tri channel DDR was not working properly on the preproduction runs. This phone is going to be a monster! Will be sad when I retire my Evo to my son, but at the same time, the Evo 3D is going to be real fun!
To those that think you HAVE to wear glasses for the 3D, it is NOT true! The screen will be a autostereoscopic screen just like the one Nintendo is using for the DSi 3D.
personally, I would wait. I wouldn't buy last years phone, as great as the EVO is, with this beast coming in a couple months.
Wait unitil June.
It was just confirmed that the EVO 3d will be the first phone compatible with Wimax and LTE. So definetly wait.
Yea read up on this thread. Bluescreen is a sprint rep it seems.
