I have a stock non rooted HTC One. After I updated to 4.3 HTC Sync Manager doesn't recognize my phone. The computer recognizes it but I can't get it to sync anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but this hasn't worked either. Any suggestions? Is anyone else having this issue?

Broke mine too. I haven't been able to fix it either and I've spent hours trying so I just gave up. I'm sure they update it soon.

I hope so. I don't want to lose my pictures.

There is an updated version on the HTC site. Download and install it and everything will work.

Do you have USB Debugging turned on? By default it's off and I think HTC Sync needs it to communicate the phone.

If that doesn't work maybe you guys can use SnapPea, Mobogenie or Moborobo to sync your stuff while HTC updates Sync to support Android 4.3.

Updating the sync manager program through the HTC website did the trick. Thanks!

I have completely given up with it, I have un-installed/re-installed twice, updated the device drivers, tried debugging on and off, even different cables and still it does not see my One XL. I am now using a third party blue-tooth sync app which seems ok.

How if you re-install the drivers? Where are the drivers? Windows cannot find the drivers.

With 2.4.33.0 of sync manager and the version before It is now impossible to select contact directory when uploading contacts. The protocol with most phones (and HTC SYNC upto the latest updates ) was that only the root contact directory was downloaded. Now I have over a thousand business and other names in my phone that I do not want and no way of preventing their download. If you try to delete them from the phone, they delete from outlook on the next sync. The HTC one two is being released soon and unless HTC sort this I will not be getting another phone... Samsung software allows you to selectively chose Outlook contact subdirectories to download
