HTC Sync not recognizing the HTC One (M8)

I tried to connect my m8 to the HTC sync app and I got a message stating I needed to upgrade to the newest version. Problem is I already have the newest version on my laptop. Anyone else having this issue?

I had a similar experience on my Mac laptop but android file transfer app opened also so I used it instead of the HTC app. I just wanted to copy some music onto the phone.

Were you able to connect right away with AFT? Every time I plug my M8 in, AFT doesn't recognize it. I'll try to mess with it tomorrow. Just curious if you had any issues at first...

I couldn't get Android File Transfer to connect either. But did get HTC Sync to work. Weird, never had any issues with AFT before with any other device.
