HTC ThunderBolt reader hands-on

my faith and patience took a jolt-a damn great jolt! Just bought a seidio case and am about to purchase a seidio spare/slim battery!

I am still dying to see some pictures/videos taken with the Bolt's camera. I really want to see how the quality of the camera stacks up to other phone's cameras. AND I would really like to see some reviews of the phone from people that carry them daily. ie: battery life, camera use, music player/speaker performance, etc.

In the first post.

TING! Love it. I dont know if they have created different dummy phones for some reason or another, but when I got to play with one, it didnt feel like plastic at all, and the kickstand was most definitely metal.

I agree with you. The dummy I played with also did not have a plastic stand. It was metal. Even the body did not feel plastic, except for the screen part which was definitely plastic.

YEAH baby! My Demo will be here today! - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Thank you! One thing to point out.... the gentleman that made this review ^^ also answered someone's question about the kickstand by stating: "Kickstand is made of metal, not plastic. Strong hinge, too."

Yeah Cory pointed out on the second wirefly vid that it made a distinctive metal "cling" when it was bumped against the table.

oh man I love the Wirefly vids.... Bob cracks me up!! "We get some really smoking scores"... LMAO!!!

His lengthy example of using the TB to time your turkey was a little odd thought o_O

I shouldn't talk though. The videos I've posted have plenty of things I've said that could be labeled as odd too haha

I'll have to disagree with this. If you watch the video a few times, you'll notice that sound comes before he sets it down and he also pressed the volume rocker. It seems like a new ringtone volume sound more than a kick stand hitting the table. Not to mention a metal kickstand hitting a desk (wood or metal) wouldn't make that kind of sound.

Just my observation, but it does seem as though the kickstand is metal and has a nice hinge.

My question is... Now that its not a dummy unit hows the kickstand? Some of the people who have picked up a dummy have said they feel a bit cheep.

The kickstand was actually very nice... maybe even better than the Evo because it's thicker...

Ya, there was no audio in the video, so you guys are just imagining the clink
