Htc u play oreo update

Is HTC U PLAY ever going to be updated to Android Oreo.
Am stock in Android version 6.0

I couldn't find any information on updates for this phone. Since it's 18 months old and still on Marshmallow, it's highly doubtful there will be any further updates, since most manufacturers will only commit to 18 months of updates for non-flagship phones.
