HTC U11 or OnePlus 5?

It's really down to preference, I'd probably pick the OP5 simply due to it being on par with a few sacrifices for less cost, would love to see OP introduce IP certification in their next iteration though!

I too think is a matter of preference. Still, considering the software mainly I opt for One Plus 5. If only Opo will made a phone with a screen of 6 inches diagonal....

The extra $200 bucks left in your wallet would be my main reason.

A big reason for some, perhaps not so much for others given how little it is actually discussed.

I can't see me taking many photos, so the value of the better camera is less clear.
Same with better audio as I have no experience of better audio equipment, so am not sure how much my I could really differentiate.
My usage scenario is going to involve water as much as occasional rain exposure, so basic water resistance as one non-standard test demonstrated is likely to be enough for me.

There is that cost premium, which is pretty easily justified if those mean something to you.
Lucky people for whom the cost isn't an issue, such that they can simply compare phones while ignoring that aspect.

Htc 11 is better (best camera in a phone, better and original design, IP water resistant) but when it comes to performance 1+ is probably just as good if not better. If you just want a lighting fast phone with 'stock' Android and want to save a few bucks, go for the OnePlus, but if things like Water resistance and camera matter the most to you, go for the HTC 11 (Currently in Amazon, its around 640$, which is not that far from OnePlus 500$)

U11 is better if you can afford it than you must not choose one plus 5 over htc u11 .op5 is for budget buyers
