HTC U12?

So, what is everyone thinking about HTC's upcoming iteration - what do you want to see in it, will you be thinking about getting it, or what have you heard about it?

I read a post somewhere on Facebook that it *may* not be announced at MWC and may be announced in March or April - I just can't remember the source (maybe Android Authority). I can't wait to see what it will be like!

I would LOVE it if they brought back the FF speakers. Doesnt look like they're going to though. Please dont make the bezels too thin just to please the bezel bitches. And wireless charging. Come on HTC.

I'm so glad someone else likes bezels! And yes, it would be really cool if HTC brought wireless charging into the mix this time 'round. I've always loved HTC products... Hoping this one is a home run!

I'm excited to see what they bring to the table this year. As I always am (admitted htc fanfreak). They usually don't announce their yearly, global release flagship at any event. So I kind of figured they wouldn't be showing up at MWC. I'll be holding on to my U11 for as long as possible.

This is the first time I've ever said that. The M7, I wanted the M8. Then I wanted the M9. Then the 10. I was always looking forward to the next iteration at around the 6 month mark. This is the first phone I've ever had that I'm sitting here like, "wow, it's already been a year????".

I've been extremely pleased with the performance overall. The camera is amazing, the software performance is astounding and the battery life has been consistently good. There's nothing about this phone that I've had to complain about. Also a plus, Oreo came sooner than most flagships(unlocked US).

That being said, in this years flagships I'd like to see a nice evolution of the U11. Upgraded internals and camera. A better screen that can compete with Razers HDR, 60Hz refresh rate. Evolution of boomsound with an upgraded "theater mode". The headphone jack can stay dead as far as I'm concerned. MOAR BLUETOOTH!!!

I'm so glad you're loving the U11! I really wanted it but it didn't fit in my budget! What colour did you get? And yes, I too would like to see better camera specs and a bigger battery (better internals, as you've mentioned) for HTC's next iteration.

I gotta say, HTC is one of the more interesting device lines. Always fun to see what they'll come up with next.

I don't blame you - the U11 Solar Red is the most gorgeous shade of red I've ever seen on a phone!

Yep, I agree. I just hate that its so slippery though. I dont dare got without a case. I love it anyway.

I wish HTC would make a magnetic car mount with wireless charging for the U12, just like the Touchstone on my old Palm Pre. Lots of folks had them mounted in cars. Currently I use a Kenu magnetic mount. Other than the fragile case and screen, the U11 is a fantastic handset. In the modern age, I now care less about a replaceable battery, or even FF speakers. I am using bluetooth headphones a lot more, so I don't care about headphone jacks anymore, either. I just want a camera that works in low light and has a portrait mode, like my iPhone 7+. And I want the cost to be less than $600. I like fingerprint scanners better than face recognition. Face recognition does not work if you get paged at night and have to unlock the phone in the dark (iPhone X).

Palm pre on Touchstone, circa 2009. Way ahead of its time.

Oh yes, having a case is a must; especially with glass-backed phones like the U11.

Like some of you, Ide like to also see FF speakers, bring back the 3.5mm headphone jack, and it would be nice to see a 2nd telephoto camera, as I enjoy Macro photography..

I luv my U11, even more-so now with Oreo, but I must admit The dimensions and build of the U11+ looks amazing.. although I dont mid bezels, if the house great speakers.. IMO, the Xperia XZ Premium is a gorgeous looking device.. plus bezels offer protection, good build and strength..

Im not too bothered about wireless charging.. but thats a personal thing, so If it comes onboard.. Great..

Just please... bring back the Headphone jack...

I do like the device but 6 inches is just too big for me. I run and my U11 looks like a brick on my shoulder as it is. This device would be a bit too much to run with. I do like it though. Its grown on me.

Enjoy your new phone. I ordered last night, but forgot to purchase on Amazon since I have prime lol.

Coming from Honor View 10 it should be better user experience. EMUI is too much for my taste.

Can you order it from Amazon in the UK? If you go to Amazon here, the item page says that the phone releases on June 7.
