Have any of you had the weather widget go crazy on you? I've never experienced any problems with it until today. I'm in New York, but all day this thing has been claiming that I'm in Laluenga, Spain. I can understand if it's maybe a town over, but Spain?

I have the same problem using htc widget as well as beautiful widgets... looks like I am enjoying the south of France right now. Unexpected vacation indeed.

I bet it's using wireless access point information instead of GPS or cell towers to identify your location.

This happened to me several weeks ago when I was at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The company responsible for setting up the wireless there also set up the wireless at Atlanta Motor Speedway with the same access point names. I would look at my location, and it would say Hampton, GA. Once I turned off Wi-Fi, I was back in Charlotte.

Maybe you can turn off Google Location Services?

Well this started for me when I had WiFi turned off. Power cycle phone... no good... battery pull... no go.... but it seems that now my trip to France is over. Back in the states again :(

Haven't you seen the movie? The phone is telling u to get out of Dodge b4 it's too late!

It has been happening to me for a days now. It has been saying Valdealfoga or something like that. I don't even know where that is...

Yes there are lots of us having this problem. The phone thinks we are in spain. Not just the tbolt either...my wifes dinc is doing it too. GPS is not working for most either. Seems to be mostly affecting people in NY. There are a few threads about this on different forums too.

Must say since I did the GB update mine has begin spot on as far as city I have been in . In the new York area.

Its like were having flashbacks of when the phone was first released, that was a widespread problem. I live in NJ and haven't experienced this problem. I though that this was corrected with the first OTA update. Running latest GB leak with no problems.

Man that stinks! I don't use it thankfully. A local news station has a great app for the weather so I use that.
