HTC WIDGETS on custom roms without them?

runnin C6 night build 3, as most of you know its not a sense rom, is there a way to push the sense widgets on? that would be AMAZING!

Haha, right here bud.

Unfortunately the answere is no. Sense is currently required to run the sense widgets, but there are some good alternative options. Many require launcher pro or ads.

I think CM6 uses ADW Launcher now, right?
What HTC widgets are you looking at specifically? There are probably workarounds.

I'm still running unrooted Sense and I use no sense widgets...
Unless those settings widgets are HTC... then I use the 4g/3g/power settings.

no to be honest all i want are the weather and the clock they just look awesome, and no not the huge *** one either, the little ones...

and LJ what ones are you referring too? and yes right now ADW is the launcher hes implemented

Dang, I use all of the HTC toggles plus the Profile widget, Agenda, Music . . . I need to do some hunting before I play with any other ROMs.

So for clock and weather, there is an app called "beautiful widgets", that will do what you want and more. Stock android has a good music app and profiles. However it lacks a bit in the agenda area. For other apps, post your request in the Apps section of the forums (in the main form) and people will get you what your looking for.

Hmmmm, Not sure, i don't remember what the evolution series looked like. But beautiful widgets has many customizable options. Maybe you'll find something you like more than you like the sense clock, check it out, definitely a great app.

Personally i use "Digital Clock Widget". Looks super clean, no complaints.

there was one called "Fancy Widget" that looked identical to the sense clock one, but for obvious reasons, HTC told them that they had to remove it from the market. you can probably still find the APK for it somewhere though. i think the last version that they put out was 1.3.

if you have problems with it continuing to auto refresh, you might not have 1.30. the previous version would stop updating on me all the time but 1.3 seems to work perfect.

Be careful passing around APK's guys. Unless It's open source or a free app, could lead to trouble.
