HTC won't replace broken Beats earbuds

The Beats earbuds that came with my Rezound stopped working after 2 months. HTC replaced them, and the new ones stopped working in August. HTC refuses to replace the broken earbuds twice. Just flat out refuses, whether it's their fault or not. Since the Beats earbuds are the main reason anyone would purchase this phone instead of another, I am left with a phone that's pretty useless unless I pay the $100 for a new set. I advise anyone not to purchase this phone or any other sold by HTC with Beats earbuds, since they do not support the accessories when they are defective.

Beats earbuds were the gravy on my cranberry sauce. I would say the shear stats if this phone when it came out (and still, really) are the actual reason. Just because there was 2 racist commercials (I kid, but could they have tries a little less stereotyping) making beats the focus, does not mean that's why we bought the phone.

I don't have them. Doesn't bother me. But I love the phone and that's more important to me. It was a replacement choice for me. I have a headset if I choose to wear but my jambox is great. And my Bluetooth if I don't have a headset with me. The music I listen to works without. CD's I have synced and Pandora. Am good to go.

What broke on the headphones? I bought my Rezound used and then bought the iBeats new. I understand that the ones that come with the phone are a little different than the ones that you can buy in stores. That true?

The beats headphones are nice. But I actually gave them to my son. I actually switch between my LG stereo bluetooth headphones and Bose IE2 in ear headphones. They both sound better than the beats. The reason that I really got the phone was for the phone itself. Its one of the best phones that Verizon has. As far as replacing your beats headphones, go through Verizon for the warranty replacement. Good luck.

I never even touched em. I love my Sony's so I gave the beats to my daughter and they broke like 3 months ago. So I bought her a nice pair of Sony's as well. Some people (like me) would rather have nice phone hardware than a $60 pair of headphones.

The speaker blew out on one how do I get them replaced from Verizon? But I sold my rezound will that effect the warranty?

Suspicious.

I didn't know that you couldn't text, make phone/video calls, surf the web, watch videos, play games, enjoy the spectacular true HD resolution, or any other benefit of the phone without the iBeats.

VZW replaced mine ASAP when they broke, and they gave me the iPhone/ipod ones. They are better build quality, but the buttons on the headphones don't work correctly with the Rezound. No biggie. To recommend against all HTC phones because of the headphones is just pure insanity. Nothing wrong with the phone.

Just ordered a new pair today, took all of five minutes on the phone with them. You might have gotten a bad rep. Can't wait to see the new ones, some people say they are better.

Smells like a troll...and no...the flemsy Beat Audio headphones are not the reason I bought this phone.

Same here, just got rid of them as I did not need them, the price was the selling point ($50) as well as the specs.
