Htc626 desire turned off and would not turn on

Htc 626 desire will not turn on and charge light will not turn on if put on to charger.checked that charger is good and performed other switch off methods suggested online.then finally changed the new battery but still won't turn on or charge.please help.thanks.

Hardware failure of some kind, presumably.

It's very possible there was an internal electronic failure. On a device that old it would simply not be cost effective to repair it compared to replacing the device.

Welcome to Android Central! After you changed the battery, did you make sure to let it charge on a wall outlet undisturbed for at least 6 hours?
