HTCSync Update

HTC pushed out an update to HTCSync this morning...the new version is 3.0.5517...it updates the Calendar and Contacts sync...it installed and synced without any problems.

Are you able to sync all of your contacts and calendar entries? I had the Inspire 4G for a couple of weeks and noticed that with the previous version of HTC Sync, some phone number fields "other", "work2", "mobile2" wouldn't transfer.

An example is my manager's phone numbers at work, if out of the office, he uses the business phone (mobile2) and for personal, he uses his mobile1 and for some reason from my Outlook acct mobile2 just wouldn't transfer via HTC Sync to the Inspire and I had to end up putting it in manually as "other".

Does this update fix the multitude of problems many people were having even getting it to work? We shall see.

Distribution Groups

One thing I have noticed is that it synced all of my Distribution Groups from Outlook and didn't miss anything.

Where did you download it from? When I go to the HTC page for the Inspire it's still showing v 3.0.5511.

I figured it out. You have to have HTC Sync (that's already installed) check for updates.

I installed it and the new update, but my phone will not sync. I am using win7 and stock Inspire and the debugging for USB activates...very strange. I do not have bluetooth running when trying to connect via USB.

Any ideas. I have rebooted both phone and system. deactivated AV and Zone Alarm. Short of physicall hardwiring the phone to the computer thru it's backdoor, I am at a complete loss. Never had a problem until the new update for sync came out...
