HTDC One M8 stops ringing!

I can't get my ringtones to sound. My phone vibrates on calls.

I tried assigning different ringtones, but they don't play as I select them (as they usually do). Music plays through the speakers as it should.

Have I got a setting wrong?

Follow-up:

After restarting the phone, the ringtones are back (???).

Do you have the volume set to ring?
