I ran several tests for comparison and just 'cause i got curious.
Using a fairly powerful workstation running Fedora 22 Linux, Firefox 40 and Google Fiber gigabit ethernet I got 35-37. Chrome 44 did better at 58-60. But I had a bunch of tabs open in Firefox and only one in Chrome so that may have had an effect.
Using a somewhat less powerful PC (but still not a chunka cheese) and Windows 10 Pro, Firefox 40 and Google Fiber gigabit ethernet I got 9-10. Chrome 44 also was at about 9-10.
Using a Nexus 5 with stock, unrooted 5.1.1, Firefox 40 and Google Fiber 802.11 /ac WiFi on the 5GHz channel for best speed I got 58-60. Using Chrome 44 was about the same 57-59.
Go figure. I don't know what to make of those results.
