Huawei mate 20 pro pictures disappear every day

[Android Central Question]

It seems at the end of every day all of my photos that I have taken that day disappear out of my gallery. Photos I have downloaded do not disappear, just ones I took with the camera.

I checked google photos and it does not indicate anywhere that it would delete backed up photos.

I have looked everywhere for a setting that would control this but I can't find anything.

Any help is appreciated.

Are they in your Photos folder, Gallery usually needs a scan for them to appear there ie they don't appear immediately

Welcome to Android Central! Are the photos saving to Internal Storage or the SD card? If the latter, then the card might be bad.
