Huawei P smart + 2019 camera question.

My mum recently got a new phone the Huawei P smart + 2019 & we would like to no if there is a way to stop the camera going to sleep mode every 10 seconds. It comes up with a black screen with a message coming up saying touch the screen to activate the camera. It comes up a lot quicker that it does on my Huawei P20 pro so it there any way to delay that message coming up & stop the camera going into sleep mode?

It sounds as if the sleep time for the screen is set to 10 seconds. Make it 30 seconds or so (in Settings > Display > Advanced > Screen timeout). That's for the whole phone, so don't make it too long. (The screen uses a lot of battery.)

If you really want to get into it, an app like IFTTT should let you set a longer screen sleep time when opening the camera app and revert back to a shorter one when leaving it.

That worked thank you so much. The screen was already set to 30 seconds which just seemed so quick. So we set it to a minute & the camera took longer to go into sleep mode. Will see what the battery is like with a minute screen time but mum always locks her phone when she is finished with it.
