Huawei p20 lite disconnecting when i click transfer files!!

[Android Central Question]

I hook up my p20 lite via usb c to usb 3.0 cable. And it asks whether i want to transfer photos or files. When i click transfer files, it disconnects Well, maybe 1 out of 10 times it works. Tried using different cables, same result.
Sometimes when i restart it, it works, but then doesn't other times. Any clues?
