huawei P8 lite keeps automatically restarting when being charged

[AC Question]

I have a huawei P8 lite, less than a year old...running android 6.0 and EMUI 4.0

Phone was not dropped nor is the battery damaged, etc. I have been using the same cables to charge, docking station, etc. never a problem until now. If plugged in to charge while on, it will restart every 3-5 min. by itself. When off and being charged no problem. When using USB to computer also no problem.

What could this be?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
