Huawei u8665

Hello all,

I'm rather new to the forum and could use some help. I have a Huawei u-8665 and would like to root and ROM it. I'm familiar with how to do these things but my problem lies in trying to get to recovery. When I try to boot into recovery all I get is a purple screen, no AT&T logo just purple (well a magenta really). I was curious whether this was a common thing or if I'm just boned when it comes to rooting this device. Thanks in advance for all the help!

Welcome to the forums. The downside to devices that are not as popular is in order to have a root process and a ROM, a developer has to have the device. To a degree, you can look at this like you can cars. How many people are going to make aftermarket engine parts for say, Smart cars? Not many. Now change the car to a Camaro or Mustang, and you have completely different answer.
