Huawei watch

hi, i havent got a clue about smart watches but have read a few reviews. i am thinking about getting a Huawei watch and would like advice before purchasing one. i have a Nexus 6p. would it be ok to use the watch and phone together? how long would Huawei support the watch with updates? read about issues lining up the watch to the charger being a pain. does it send and receive texts, emails?

The Huawei watch is an Android Wear watch (wrong forum). It'll work with any device that can have the AW app installed. I use a Huawei Watch with a Nexus 6P. Yes, the watch can send texts as long as it's connected to the phone. I believe you can use it to respond to emails, I haven't tried.

I don't know how long updates are expected to be available, but it's one of the few that had the 2.0 preview available from Google if that tells you anything.

Thanks for the reply. Are you happy with the watch or if you could would you replace it with a different model? Was going to by a standard chronograph watch but I am in 2 minds what to do.

I like it. I've had a few compliments on it and it looks like a regular watch just with a screen.

Exactly why I keep it- the other smart watches' novelty wore off and then all that was left was an ugly watch- this is nice and I do get compliments all the time.

has anyone installed the developer preview android wear 2.0 on their Huawei watch? contemplating whether to try it on mine. its still in the box and ive only switched it on once.

Ok, I've tried to install the preview for developers android wear 2.0. Huawei watch kept crashing. I am still running version 1.5. anyone else had similar problems?

I installed it on mine. It seems ok. I really needed a watch that works all day long. Don't have the time and patience to tweak it and stuff. I'm just a dumb enduser.

None of the apps synced to the watch it seems. So I put it back to 1.0.

ok I tried to install the preview again and still wouldn't install. was told from a friend that it can only be done on a 32 bit pc, I was using a 64 bit. don't know if this is he cause to be honest
