Android Central Question

After the last update, my Huawei P20 Pro will not download movies. Not from Netflix or Google play movies.
I have reset the phone several times, and emptied the cache as well.
Anyone have the same problem?

Welcome to Android Central! What happens when you try to download -- do you get an error message? Are the apps set to download to Internal Storage or an SD card (i.e., if you have an SD card inserted in the first place)?

You actually did multiple factory resets?

I wonder if this could be a regional restriction. Where do you live?

I live in Norway. No factory resets, just restarted the phone several times.
This was never a problem before the latest update to EMUI (9.0.0.195)
Netflix won't open, Google Play movies will not download. Both these apps have storage permission

I asked this before -- are the apps set to download to Internal Storage or an SD card?

Hmm, starting to run out of ideas.:-\ Try clearing the cache and data from Download Manager in Settings>Apps. You probably have to tap Menu>Show System to find it.

The P20 Pro does not have an SD card option.

Whoops! Thanks for the correction. I should've looked that up myself, but I didn't think that Huawei would go the no-SD card route!:-\

Some months have passed any update in the Netflix app 15001 issue?
Just asking because I have the exact same issue on an Huawei P20 Pro (CLT-L29) EMUI Build-Number 9.1.0.370 bootloader locked, no root, widevine CDM L1, Google play protect says Device is certified, banking apps, Google pay, amazon video, deezer etc. all working fine inkl. downloading drm stuff. Only Netflix does open with this network issue 15001 and Google play movies does not download movies. playing movies just works fine.
Have tried all the tricks which play services, play store, cache partition, app caches, reinstall. The last thing I will do is a factory reset.

I have a second exact same Huawei P20 Pro device (only different color) which just works fine.

What could be the issue?

Okay last resort Factory Reset solved this problem.
