Huawii Phones

I`m a Brit with a P20 Huawii. What are the thoughts on here about the US government putting the squeeze on the company because of security? Hasn't it been shown how Google and Apple have given the US government access to mobile data and search results?

How do you think this will resolve? What impact will it have on me and my phone (is the best phone i have had, offering great value for money)?

I should not myself have the slightest hesitation about buying a Huawei phone.

If you’re fine with the software staying as it is (I’m assuming you have android 9 pie) then the P20 is a great phone, especially when compared to its pricier rivals. The cameras are excellent and more or less on par with all but the latest and most expensive flagships (they are actually better than the XR and iPhone X).

As for the google ban it only really affects future huawei phones...you might not get android Q because of it but google apps and the software will still continue to function as normal (in a few years they might encounter problems due to lack of updates though)
