Huge battery drop after KitKat update?

Just got my Moto G today and after charging it to full and turning it on, I got the prompt for the OTA system update which I installed. When the update started, my battery was at around 95 or so. After the update, the battery is showing 47.

Did anyone else experience this? I've taken many OTAs on my other devices and have never experienced anything like that.

Mine did that too, 100% to 47%. I plugged it back in for not even 5 mins it was 100% again

maybe a bug on the battery read? lol
did battery continue to drain quickly or this just happened during the update?

battery stat has always been buggy on Android... should not be big deal since when you charge full battery stats get reset
