Huge Google battery drain

Hello, I'm wondering if any of you guys had the same situation. I'm on Android P Beta. So far SoT time has gotten worse. But this is some serious issue. Any recommendations? Wipe maybe ? I would simply like to get back to this 6+ screen on time..

Just FYI it's not a good idea to let your battery get so low. Probably 20% is the lowest you should let it go before charging it.

Thank you for the information. I'll keep it in mind from now on . But still, I think something wrong is going on. Today again gooogle is on top of battery usage.

I would agree that it's not normal for the Google app to be listed first. Sounds like something is hung up. Have you tried the laundry list of normal troubleshooting?
- reboot
- shutdown completely
- reboot into Safe mode
- Force stop, clear cache, clear data of offending app
- roll app back to original version

Mine was like that yesterday and couldn't figure out why, then today it was back to normal.

Are you done with the problem for good ? I've did all the steps that someone suggested above except for wipe. Probably will have to go back to Oreo. 4h SoT is ridiculous.

I've never seen it so high again. I didn't really do anything, maybe just a reboot.

I do, that's why I'm concerned. Even tho Google doesn't appear on top of the list , the sot has dramatically went down. I think wipe is the last chance .

My Google was high again yesterday. I just added it to the adaptive battery list. I don't notice anything wrong with the phone after I moved it to the "restricted" list.

hi I'm on 8.1 Oreo and I keep hearing notifications that the Google app is draining my battery.
