Huge opportunity for LG

It's all perception and what you see as lag/stutter. I have seen lag/stutter on S8/G6. Note 8 hasn't till now but it's only couple of days for me so can't judge until few weeks. Pixel XL is the phone which didn't lag or stutter on me even after 6 or 7 months but I have seen people say it was lagging for them and aged badly. So different people have different tolerance/definition on lag and stuttering, sometimes it also depends on what all you are running on the phone I guess.
No. I am telling you. Even if you used this phone you would see no lag. Do some people think that their phones should do the action before they even select what they what to do? Lol

This is true but I know for a fact i get no lag, even when downloaded/upgrading apps. It's weird lol

Different people have different perception of lag. Some have higher tolerance while some perceived it to be lag as long as it's not instantaneous

I owned a G4 and several Samsung devices and none of them lagged since back in the Note 1/2 days for me. I use the Nova launcher, and currently have around 120-130 apps installed on my s7.

I never had issues with lag on the G5 or V20 unless there was a problem like a bad app or too much stuff open running things in the background.

Of the phones I have had, I can break down my experience as follows:

Minimal lag: G6, Mate 9, Iphone 6S (work phone :-))
Moderate to severe Lag: GS3, GS4, GS5, Note 4, G3, G4. Ipad Air
No Lag: Nexus 6P, Note5, G2

These are just my personal experiences. I was able to cut down on the G3 lag by rooting. The note 4 was a lagging mess, and was the only phone I returned because of lag. To be fair, it was not purchased brand new from a carrier when the Note was released.

It's funny how the note 4 was a laggy mess then the note 5, non at all.

I just wish that would give some dates. right now we know you can get the note8 and we know when iphoneX will be out but LG is still silent.

LG said end of October/beginning of November for Europe. So you can be pretty sure you'll get it earlier in the US. Should be ready until the iPhone X launches I think!

Judging from the comments and hands on videos from the hoopla of the Note 8 announcement I feel like many came away either underwhelmed or not that enthusiastic about it. Of course you have those that really love the new features of the Note 8. But Samsung clearly played it safe especially in the battery department and with the popularity of the S8+ the Note 8 is losing just a little of its unique qualities amd superiority over the slightly littler sibling. And don't get me started on the $$$ they're asking.

The dual OIS cameras certainly look very promising but I think this is now LG's stage to shine on now. The unique feature set of the V30 along with a first in class f/1.6 aperture could really move LG closer to the spotlight that Samsung deservedly in most respects enjoys. Even though the V30 will lose a lot of personality(2nd screen) and hardware features(removable battery-IR blaster? maybe), the step up to water resistance and an OLED display narrows the gap between Samsung flagships and LG's.

I'm really looking for LG to take advantage of this opportunity unlike what they did with the V20 last year. Looking forward to the new camera setup and that super cool ultrawide angle secondary lens which no one else is doing either. Another reason why the V30 already stands out. If LG nails it and prices the V30 along the lines of the rumored $700-750 price range, the V30 SHOULD BE(not necessarily will be) the best phone of 2017. In my opinion.
I don't know much about LG...but you may be right (if what I'm hearing is true). The big deal for me is they need to price it right. I had a Note 5 that I just posted with your summer. I would get an 8 in a flash of it wasn't for that price. LG has my attention.
