Hulu and Hulu plus on Acer Iconia

Well I finally found an app about a month ago that let my Iconia stream Hulu TV programs so now Hulu has taken most of the shows I watch and made the back episodes only available on Hulu Plus. No more Castle or Last Man Standing unless I pick Hulu Plus and pay for the commercials.

I would like to hear from someone that has both Netflixs and Hulu Plus on their tablet/phone and their opinion of the merits of having each or both.

IMO Hulu Plus is a joke. Why would I pay for a few more show and still have to watch commercials. And many of the shows are only available on a desktop.

Content aside, the apps for various platforms are brutal for Hulu whereas I have yet to see a Netflix app not work very well.

I'm currently trying my free month of netflix. So far I'm liking it better than July plus and our tablets can use it perfectly. In fact I killed the battery last night and had to switch to my phone. I watched something like eight 30 minute episodes on half a charge.

There is an app that I have been using that emulates a computer browser, it costs like a buck, but I haven't had any major problems with it yet.. I'll post the app up later if you care to see.

Netflix from android marketplace works quite well on this Acer a500

had hulu plus commercials suxs

also you can try crackle as well, don't need the app just go to the website. it does have some commercials

Hmmm I pay for digital cable and have way more commercials and pay more. Hulu has more current TV shows than netflix

Some of their shows won't even play if you are using a product that isn't a PC.

I have both Hulu Plus and Netflix subscriptions because we ditched cable. I stream both through my PS3 and Roku boxes mostly, but like the option for phone/tablet. (Hulu only avail on my DX2)

My kids (6 & 5) use Netflix more because they don't care so much about staying current on shows. Heck, they love Fraggle Rock (didn't realize it was such a hippy show...), He-Man, and Veggie Tales.

Our evening viewing is dominated by Hulu, despite commercials because all of "our shows" are on Hulu, but not Netflix (at least newer ones).

... just realized the original thread is over 1month old, but I clicked in from the front page, hoping for announcement of Hulu+ app for Iconia ...

Iconia owners unite and bombard the Hulu site for A500 support!!!

I'm running the Hulu + app on my A500 tablet (not a browser, not a browser HACK..but the actual Hulu+ APP. I have the app saved in my dropbox and also emailed it to myself. Someone took the original Hulu app and modified it so it would work on a few tablets..including the A500.
