Well, I finally got to hold one today at least. I found a Verizon store willing to let me mess with one for a few minutes. I walked in and asked to buy one and they said they couldn't sell one to me so I asked if I could at least see what it looked like. About 30 minutes later I was called over to the back corner of the store and someone brought one out for me to mess with. The sales guy never left me for a second...lol. I felt like I was examining the Declaration of Independence or something. Anyway, I was told by him I could get it on the 15............another date.........another wait.

haha yeah. Guy #2 makes wildly off-base claims about who Guy #1 is. Then Guy #2 blames Guy#1 for lack of comprehension? Too funny.
Well I called a bunch of Best Buys around in S. Jersey and a few VZW premium retailer stores. Everyone has said 12/15. I was fishing for someone to say 12/11 or 12/12 but no dice.
The most interesting thing is that a few BBs and VZW stores did NOT have stock on hand.

Just stopped at a starbucks in South Jersey, and stopped in the Verizon store next to it. Just asked if they knew when the Nexus was coming out because I'm sick of the battery life on my Razr already. She said they were told the 15th I'd be able to come exchange for it

Hmmm.... I stopped at my local Radio Shack today in hopes that I would be able to see and touch a Gnex.. The store manager said they he received a shipment in yesterday but he wasn't approved to sell them until Monday.
I asked to see one, which he galdy went in the back and brought one out. He was just as excited to show me as I was to see it....
Anyway, the bottom line is... he said and proved that he had them in stock, however he wasn't able to sell it to me until Monday... Also, I "He said Monday" I didn't ask him if it was Monday or even when he could sell them... So who knows...

I really don't think you should take their word for it when they say they don't have stock. They seem to say this even if it is a lie. One person even called bs and asked for the manager and the manager confirmed it was a lie.
Liars all of them. They received stock last week. How MUCH they received is anyone's guess

It's probably easier for them to lie about it, then to deal with the demand of irrational customers who do not want to take no for an answer.
