Hurry up Note 8; tired of this S7

I was also wondering about deals. Now though I'm on T-Mobile so unfortunately they aren't in the retailer stores so I can't do those nice Best Buy and related store gift card promos

I got a $400 gift card from best buy when I got my S7 Edge this last black Friday. I was also getting $10 credit from VZ. If I kept the phone for 2 years, it would have cost me $80 lol. Crazy!

Not sure what kind of deals black Friday will being to Note 8. If you think about it, it's only 2 months after release. Not that far out.

Nope. Just couldn't stomach the down payment x 2 phones = $260. Because I knew the Note8 would be out later this year, we settled on the S8 to get away from from the S7E.

I hate hate hate the S7 they gave me to replace my Note 7. I am counting down the seconds until I can stop using it and get my Note 8. Just hope Samsung didn't F it up. The Note 7 was perfection. Except for the battery of course.

I hate the S7E as well. What I hate even more is that I'm not eligible for an upgrade, because I waited till the last possible second to get rid of my N7. Now I have to pay about 135, that brings me to half the cost of the S7E, to get the N8. N7 owners should be able to immediately upgrade IMO. But I know that argument is just beating a dead horse

Samsung.com will probably run a sale on the Tmobile version though. Also, best Buy after a couple months will carry the unlocked ones so they will probably do a sale too.

I'm just gonna be prepared to shell out the full retail. I knew that I would have to take this hit going down the road back in January. Ugh. But I believe the phone will be worth it. Anything has to be better than this piece of trash. My camera just randomly stopped working Monday. I'm over it.

That battery could be 1000mah for all I care, all long as the phone is fully optimized so that 1000mah (or whatever batter capacity it turns out to be) I can get a full days experience doing the things I want, and the phone should. I'll throw the trust out there with Sammy.

I paid off my Pixel XL to Verizon a year early this week because I couldn't upgrade otherwise. I didn't want the S7 or 7e, having played with them in a store and not liking them but I have really not liked the Pixel. I am waiting impatiently. I still miss the Note 7.The s8+ is ok, I have a friend who has one, but I want the pen and I am hopeful the dual camera set up will be amazing.

We go through this every year. I'm getting the Note 8 just like I have with all the previous Notes. A Note is what I like, it's what I want and it's what I'm going to get as soon as it's available for pre order. I'm sure Samsung will sweeten the pot with some free goodies, a price discount would be nice but I'm not expecting it. If you don't want the Note 8 for any number of reasons, that's great, go with whatever makes you happy. But I'm a Sammy fan and a Note fan, so I'm just waiting for the debut like it's Christmas morning.

This is how I felt waiting for the s8 plus. I got the S7 Edge when I had to turn my Note 7 in and didn't like it. Bought the unlocked V20 for the big screen but hated the LCD screen and went back to using the Edge which I hate the small size. I couldn't wait to get the S8 Plus which I love!

I will get the Note 8 when the unlocked one is out or Samsung.com runs a sale on the carrier version since I use tmobile. Having the S8 Plus allows me to be more patient and wait for a better deal.

I'm surprised that Samsung.com and Best Buy started running sales and promos so soon. Hopefully with the Note 8 sometime later in Oct maybe they will do the same.

I wouldn't personally buy a phone I didn't like. That's mostly why I stay with Samsung. The LG V30 looks decent, though. I agree that the S7E was a huge step backwards from the Note7.

I'm not. This is historically how they've done it. Plus, they don't want to lose this sells momentum they've gained over Apple. It's a good way to push revenue without sacrificing product integrity.

That could be why they price it so high too. Price it high then run sales and promos for it and make it look like you're getting a great deal.
