Pretty much the title says it all. I just want to get this phone and be on my merry way to a nice secondary carrier that is way cheaper than the big 4.

I had both the honor 8 and mate 9. I prefer the smaller devices. The reason i pre-ordered the essential. I know the mate 10 is going to be a beast with the new Kirin processor. I have zero interest in the note 8 and v30 for that very reason.

It would be tricky because the honor line is online only and most in the usa buy from carriers

I have zero issue with online purchase either. As long as it supports my carrier LTE bands.

I bought a Mate 9 last week and switched from T-Mobile to Cricket Wireless. So far it has been a great experience with both the phone and the service.
You can get some great deals on the Mate 9 atm at Best Buy and Amazon if you get tired of waiting for the Honor 9.
While size is a factor, since the Mate 9 is a beast. The cost savings was a significant factor for me at $450.

This phone does look really beautiful... And it's very interesting that the fingerprint scanner is on the front. I do want to experience a fps on the front for my next phone. It would be nice to see the 9's availability range further.
