Hyperlinks dont work on p20 pro stock email app

Does anyone know how to make hyperlinks work on the p20 pro?

The problem is, I receive an email, it has a button image link such as open or visit, I press it and nothing happens.

Any pointers appreciated.

That's called "the AOL link problem". AOL's browser also didn't do hotlinks, so you had to copy the link, go to your browser and paste it in. (A lot of emails had a hotlink and an additional paragraph that went something like "If you're on AOL, copy the following link ...") And that's what you have to do - copy the link and paste it into the address box in your browser. (Or change email apps - there's nothing sacred about using the one that came with the phone. (And I'd email Huawei and let them know that they should really find the 20th century - it's probably gotten to China by now.)
