I’ve been locked out of phone can’t remember swipe directions to get back in

There is nothing on screen to help with directions of swipes

You might be able to get in, it depends on lots of things ie what android version you are on (the newer the harder), if you have custom recovery installed (you can delete the lock screen pattern file), if you've set up ADB before (delete file), have you set up another trusted device eg your car (will unlock phone), then there are unpatched bugs like being able to crash lock screen in Android 5 that might get you in.
