You have a few options.

  • Post and see if someone can leave their host file for you to download and place on your device. They are generic as far as I remember and contain no personal/device " specific " information that should cause any security issues.
  • Flash the stock " factory " firmware.
  • Download a stockish custom ROM and pull the host file from the ROM at the "/system/etc/" location and place it on your device.

However I don't see this causing any issue with the charging of your device. Host file to my knowledge (sorry its been a while) only has to do with what you device is allowed to visit. Its frequently modded to work with Adblocking apps on rooted devices.

Android OS keeps cache of Google Play Store items in order to quickly serve content to users and to save .......this has nothing to do with charging..and it doesn't matter...clear cache from app setting for playstor....it will come again...no need to flash a ROM...ull end up messing things
Thankyou.

The hosts (not host) file is a list of canonical (human-readable) addresses and their numeric addresses, so that you don't have to look up the address (which is what DNS is for), or you can redirect a site to the phone itself (which is how ad blockers work).

The default hosts file has localhost set to 127.0.0.1, which is the address for any device referenced to itself - so that you can use "localhost" as an address. Deleting the hosts file has no effect on the computer, unless you have some addresses stores there for your convenience (like having amazon's address equal to amz - so you type amz in your browser and you get to amazon).

It has absolutely nothing to do with charging the battery. Turn the phone off and see how long it takes to charge. (That way the computer is off, so no file matters.)

A slowly charging battery in a phone that age suggests that you normally run the battery down to almost 0 - which you should never do. Read The Care and Feeding of Lithium Polymer Batteries. (The G Pro I'm working on for someone takes about an hour from 40% to full on a wireless charger - and the battery was badly discharged at least once - too far gone to get more than the LG logo before it shut off. But doing that regularly will damage the battery, give you long charge times and short times between charges [and this is a phone with particularly good battery life].)
