When you say you "force stopped" the app, that usually refers to going into your app list, looking at the app page for that app and selecting force stop, am I correct to assume that this is not what you did?

Will you please explain what occurred?

What device do you have?

Google Play Services is not an app that you can have on your home screen, could you mean the Google Play Store?

To find Play Services navigate to Settings>Applications>you will likely have to enable "show system apps" from a menu>Play Services. Once you've located the app navigate to the storage page, there Clear Cache and Clear Data, and restart your device. This may cause you have to sign-in to some of your Google apps or cause you to have to select your main or default Google account to gain access.

Let us know what you find and/or provide more details so that you can find assistance.

Force stop Google play store or Google services? Either one shouldn't make it disappear, how did you exactly go about this and which phone ?

Welcome to Android Central! Is this a phone that you had to manually install Google Play Services on in the first place (e.g., a more recent Huawei phone or other Chinese devices that aren't Google Play certified)?
