I am leaving the Rezound behind.

I've always been happy with this phone, but the opportunity came to upgrade. My only complaint with my Rezound was battery life. I have moved on. I would like to say I have moved on to my third HTC phone, but I cannot. The One just didn't do it for me. LG won my attention and money. I may return to HTC in the future. I will have to see what they offer next.

Fear not, my Rezound isn't being retired or just dumped. My daughter needs a new phone, so she will get it until another upgrade it available.

I left my Rezound behind almost two weeks ago. I so-longed for another HTC phone, but I was not choosing a phone with a 2300 mAh battery (The One) when I could get a 3500 mAh battery (Droid Maxx). Not after the torture I endured with the Rezound.

Right now I have 49 percent remaining battery life, after 12 hours and 15 minutes off the charger, four hours and 25 minutes screen time and an hour of talk time. If I went to bed right now, I would get through tomorrow most likely without charging. Unfortunately I am still working so I will be using the phone for a few more hours this evening.

So, did you get the new LG G2? That phone has a sizeable battery as well.

The LG G2 is great! 3000 maH battery. Yesterday was my first 'real' day (work and normal life activities) with it. It came off the charger at 0500 with 100% and went on the charger at 2200 with 5%. At work I get little to no signal and the phone is searching all the time. This killed the Rezound quickly.
I also wanted to stay with HTC, but it just wasn't happening. My first 2 smartphones were HTC ( Incredible and Rezound) and I really like their phones.

Had I not had an upgrade on my account to burn, I would have been stuck with the Rezound until January, or December at the earliest. I used the upgrade 10 days before I was SUPPOSED to have my own upgrade, before Verizon pulled all the early upgrades. I couldn't take it any longer. It was ruining yet one more vacation and I do not regret my decision.

So happy you love your new battery. What a difference a battery can make.

How is the LG phone compared to the rezound? Is the data and call reception just as good or better?

Where I live, it holds the 4G signal better. I went to pick up my daughter and user Slacker radio the whole way. It was only a few miles, but the Rezound wouldn't hold the signal on the same route. Calls are pretty clear, never had an issue with the Rezound on that. The screen on the G2 is beautiful, but the biggest a phone should be (actually bigger than a phone should be).

My only issue with my Rezound was the battery life (I have 3 batteries for it). It is truly a great phone that everyone just forgot about right out the gate.

Just an update.
My daughter has been using my old Rezound since I got my new phone. Her only issue with this phone is the battery life. She had a Droid Maxx, but broke it, so she went from great battery to the not so great battery of the Rezound. the point is, the little Rezound is still performing just fine and satisfying her smartphone needs (except battery).
It truly is a great phone.

Try picking up a stock HTC extended battery and cover, it makes the phone larger but it easily doubles the battery life and is well worth the investment.
