You are going to be let down. I went from the GN4 to the Note 2, and there is no comparisons. The Note 2 is much better phone than the GN4. The Note 2 is worth the $300 more than the GN4.

Bond32, I have both and like each for different reasons. Temper your expectations though, I believe the GN2 is the best all around device on the market today. It does everything well without compromise. Still digging my N4 though!

WRONG. At least, about facebook. It is a resource pig, and it could not perform well on any of the phones I have used in my entire life (including iPhone) except for my spanking new Nexus 4, which has 2 GB of RAM. Even then, Facebook is buggy as hell, and the latest update makes it search for a GPS signal whenever you start up the app, which is annoying and somewhat creepy, since I barely, if ever, use the check in function.

Depends on what you are doing with it. My SGS2 was a fine phone, but this phone is so much better. Faster and responsive and it just handles all I can throw at it. For many it's no big deal as they don;t push the hardware envelope. We are now leveling off in terms of how much horsepower we need for our devices. Similar to desktops. You can use a computer that is 2 years old and it does everything you need. You go get a new one with double the CPU and double the RAM and it still just runs everything like the old 2 year old computer.

BUT, where you notice it is when you go back to the old system after a few weeks. Then you realize just how slow your old phone or computer really was compared.

Its more for people who want to save a boat load of cash going with a prepaid carrier rather than be locked into 2 years of hell. Its also $350 for the phone instead of $550+ off contract like others. People also prefer pure vanilla android rather than the skins manufacturers stick you with. Let's see what else... Gorgeous screen..fast processor... 100s of other reasons.

I am currently still rocking out my OG EVO... but I sure do have my eye on the N4 (this seems to be a theme, but mostly to rid myself of sprint). My Evo is approaching 3 years old now, and even with a clean ROM, and my preferred tweaks, I can just tell this thing is nearing the end of its days. I've had an N7 since July now, and I am all about Jelly Bean, I have to think that I would just love the N4.

However, with all that being said, I am just not so sure I can get over the fact that the battery is non-removable. I know that people all over the world are able to work with a non-removable battery, but for my usage, it makes be a bit concerned about switching.

Anyway, I am glad I found this thread - there is some neat insight here for me. Thanks for the conversation folks.

I am a medium to heavy user and this phone can easily make it through the day. It was way better than my SGS2. I did buy a portable Anker 5600 batter pack which can charge my phone in short order if I'm in a pinch.

This phone gives me about an hour more screen on time than my previous phones the note, razr, and a gnex. I get around 3.5hours of screen on time. If people get that worried about battery life why not get an external battery pack? Spend $30-$50 to have a small battery pack u can carry anywhere and charge anything with.
