I am unable to get text messaging details or a delivery report for my text messages.

I have a Galaxy 5S phone with Sprint. The standard text messaging process only shows when a message is sent, but not received. I downloaded Handcent Next SMS from the Google Play Store to see if I could get more text message details or a delivery report and I am still not able to access that. When I follow the instructions to turn it on in Settings, Delivery Reports is not even an option. Any suggestions? I am trying to see when a text message is received.

I use Textra and there doesn't seem to be a consistent delivery report. Sometimes it will say 'Delivered' and sometimes it will simply say 'Sent'.

I know that isn't an answer, but at least you know you aren't the only one with the issue.
