I received a message through facebook messenger. When I went to respond, the phone froze up. After a few seconds, I held power button to restart phone. The phone would not restart. I removed the battery. When I put back in the battery and tried to restart the phone, it will not restart and will not charge. The phone now will not work. Is the phone repairable or dead and useless?

Let the battery charge for a whole and then power on. Does it show the battery charge level when you plug it in?

I agree. Sounds like a battery issue not a hack. Plug it in and make sure it is charging. If not I'd try replacing the battery as the next step. They are pretty cheap on amazon now. After that I'd go the LG repair route. Tell them it bootlooped and won't charge now. They'll more than likely fix it for free.

There's no way to kill a battery by hacking a phone. And if you didn't treat your battery very nicely, by now it wouldn't be surprising that it's dead. I agree with he others - go to Amazon and order a new one. OEM batteries for that phone are under $10 (probably under $10 including shipping.)
