Yesterday I reverted back to my stock Android 2.2 Nandroid backup and then I factory reset to remove all of the apps and settings. But I did the reset from in the Android privacy menu not knowing that doing so would brick the phone.
So I bricked my phone, the phone just automatically booted into the recovery menu and I could install any ROM no matter what I tried in the recovery menu. The ROMs did install but the phone just wouldn't boot to them.
After a while of trying to fix the problem I tried following the sticky tutorial on how to unroot and return to stock Android because I read that could fix my problem. But that ended up bricking my phone even more to the point where the phone just got stuck at the LG logo.
I fixed that by going into emergency mode and using an LG program to do something that got me back into the recovery menu. I then decided to install another recovery menu and this is where I'm at now, at least sort of.
I installed the Xionia Clockwork recovery. Once it was installed I could get to the recovery menu but I couldn't see or do anything. But every time I boot into Android the phone resets itself and I can see the recovery menu resetting the data and all that. So I can basically get into the Android ROM that I flashed with the previous ROM but every time I reboot my phone the phone is factory reset to I lose all the apps and settings.
So I tried going back to the ThunderC recovery which I used before but that recovery just doesn't work well. The phone just automatically boots to the recovery menu and I can't access Android at all.
I really don't understand what's going on and I'm not really a noob when it comes to this kind of stuff. So if anyone could help me out it would be appreciated. I can give more information as needed. I have an Optimus S with Zefie's CM7 Gingerbread ROM. But I'm fine if I have to install another ROM to get this working since I have some Titanium backups that should let me restore my settings and apps.
