Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on an app called Card Rules+ (available on Google Play Store), and I’d love to get some feedback from people who enjoy card games (or just clean, useful apps).
The idea is simple: a modern, interactive encyclopedia for card games, but with tools that actually make it useful during real game nights.

I tried to make finding games actually enjoyable:
Each game has a structured layout:
Each game shows Similar Games, powered by a custom algorithm that looks at:
One of the cooler features:
Also curious: do you usually Google rules every time, or stick to a few games?
Appreciate any thoughts

I’ve been working on an app called Card Rules+ (available on Google Play Store), and I’d love to get some feedback from people who enjoy card games (or just clean, useful apps).
The idea is simple: a modern, interactive encyclopedia for card games, but with tools that actually make it useful during real game nights.

What it does
- Browse 347 card games from all over the world
- Learn rules with clean, structured guides (not walls of text)
- Save favorites + track recently viewed
- Discover games through curated collections
- Get smart recommendations based on similarity
- Add your own house rules / notes per game
- Share rules via QR code (super handy at the table)
- Plan full game nights automatically
Discovery & UX
I tried to make finding games actually enjoyable:- “Deal Me In” → random game picker with filters (player count, difficulty, duration)
- Game of the Day (changes daily)
- Curated collections like:
- Best for 2 Players
- Party Night
- Brain Burners
- Hidden Gems
- Real-time fuzzy search (handles typos + alternative names)
Learning the rules (this was a big focus)
Each game has a structured layout:
- Overview + step-by-step rules
- Tips & strategy
- Trivia & history
- Personal notes section (your own house rules)
Smart recommendations
Each game shows Similar Games, powered by a custom algorithm that looks at:
- Player count overlap
- Difficulty & strategy level
- Duration
- Popularity
- Even name similarity (e.g. Rummy variants)
Game Night Planner
One of the cooler features:
- Pick player count + time (e.g. 2 hours)
- App generates a playlist of games
- You can swap/remove games
- Save plans for later
Sharing & real-life use
- Share any game via QR code or native share
- Deep links open directly into the game
- Notes auto-save (great for house rules)
- Works well as a “pass-the-phone” teaching tool
What I’m looking for
- Would you actually use something like this?
- Anything missing that you’d expect?
- UX ideas for learning/teaching games faster
- Features for game nights / groups
Also curious: do you usually Google rules every time, or stick to a few games?
Appreciate any thoughts
