I can upgrade my i1?

Hi,

I have a motorola i1 and i want upgrade from android 1.5 to 2 or up. Actually i not use the phone with network is a paperweight. I want put a version of android higher that 1.5, this is posible?

I don't mind losing functionality with the Nextel network.
