I've tried numerous times to get the Gingerbread update it keeps saying my phone is update. And no, my phone is NOT rooted everything is normal and stock so don't bother asking lol. I tried removing the battery and etc, to no avail.. The phone says its updated to the latest version. Its very frustrating to see this, everyone else has it and I can't get it lol. But it seems like the new update is buggy anyway so I guess ill stick with Froyo.. Sucks though I was looking forward to the Swype and the new apps, oh well..

Did Sprint pull the upgrade due to bugs? I did notice a lot of people having several issues with the new update..

Well you should get an automatic update today... Since today is the "official" release date.

I've heard that having your device connected to your computer will keep it from recognizing that there is an update available.

Issues? Nah, mine maybe a brick that Sprint is replacing for me tomorrow. But, i'm sure that's just a coincidence and has nothing to do with the new fangled Gingerbrick,. I mean Gingerbread OS. ;-)

Im not too impressed with gingerbread so far. Seems like my phone slowed down instead of speeding up.

There is a few bugs with Gingerbread but aside from that my internet now flies. Love the speed of this now.

Did you try it again since you posted this morning? As Crump said, the "Official" release was today. You shouldn't have any trouble getting it now. Some people have stated issues they've had with the upgrade, but I haven't experienced any. I've found it to be faster and more user-friendly. I've even cleared out some of the apps I had that I no longer need because they're redundant now.

I had this problem yesterday also, what worked for me was removing the battery for about 5 minutes then reinstalling it and power up. After that I checked and it showed up and downloaded.
