I cant download photos from phone onto computer

When I couple my Huawei P8 Lite phone to my computer I do see the phone but not the directories. Is there a setting on the phone that blocks it? Not I cant even download it with Bluetooth.

Is your phone screen unlocked when connecting with your computer?

I guess all the files are stored in the phone memory now and we can't access them on computer directories. That means you can't find the photo files when you connect your phone to PC.
